HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
CPR training for workplaces, individuals and industry teams in Townsville and North Queensland.
Course Description
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
Entry Requirements
Students undertaking HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation must be able to meet the practical, physical and learning requirements of the course.
- Have the physical capability to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor.
- Be able to perform CPR on an infant manikin.
- Have the language, literacy and numeracy skills required to read and interpret first aid/CPR information, follow instructions, communicate clearly and complete assessment documentation.
- Provide an official form of photo identification, such as a driver licence, passport or student ID.
- Have access to a computer, smart phone, tablet or other internet-connected device to complete online learning and assessment tasks where required.
Online pre-course learning and theory assessment may be required before the face-to-face practical session.

Important Learner Information
