HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
First aid training for workplaces, individuals and industry teams in Townsville and North Queensland.
Course Description
This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Entry Requirements
Students undertaking HLTAID011 Provide First Aid must be able to meet the practical, identification and learning requirements of the course.
- Provide an official form of photo identification, such as a driver licence, passport or student ID.
- Have the physical capability to complete practical first aid demonstrations, including CPR performed on the floor with no exemptions.
- Have the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills needed to follow instructions, read course materials, complete forms and assessments, communicate clearly, use basic numbers and access online learning resources.
- Have access to a computer, smart phone, tablet or other internet-connected device to complete online learning and assessment tasks where required.
Online pre-course learning and theory assessment may be required before the face-to-face practical session.
